Down the TBR Hole is a meme hosted by Lost in a Story that revolves around clearing your TBR of all those books you’re never going to read and sort through it all to know what’s actually on there.
Here’s how it works:
– Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
– Order on ascending date added.
– Take the first 5 (or 10 (or even more!) if you’re feeling adventurous) books. Of course, if you do this weekly, you start where you left off the last time.
– Read the synopsesof the books
– Decide: keep it or should it go?
I had five Nicholas Sparks books on my Goodreads TBR listed one after the other and since I usually do five books for my Down the TBR Hole posts, I figured let’s make this week’s post all about Nicholas Sparks!
The Notebook by Nicolas Sparks
This might be absolute book sacrilege, but I’ve seen bits and pieces of the movie and because I know everything that happens as well as the fact that I don’t really care much for it, I won’t be getting to this book. Verdict: leaving the list
A Walk to Remember by Nicholas Sparks
I love this movie to pieces and because of it I absolutely want to get to the book one day. Verdict: staying on the list
Dear John by Nicholas Sparks
Read part one and two (I think I got that far) when I was a teenager and all I remember thinking was that holy mother of God, John is annoying. Verdict: leaving the list
The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks
This movie made me ball my eyes out and feel feelings I didn’t even know my tiny heart was capable of. Verdict: staying on the list
The Choice by Nicholas Sparks
I know for a fact I haven’t seen this movie or even the trailer. And the synopsis sounds really intriguing. Verdict: staying on the list

A Lovely Book Affair 
HAHA! This was great! My sentiments exactly with Dear John. I think that is the only book of his that I’ve read that I couldn’t finish. The whole time I read it I was whispering to myself saying “this is the reason it’s called Dear John. I would leave him too” lolol Loved this!

Oh my god, right?! All I remember is his constant whining and it’s like “dude, we get it, you’re in love and it sucks you’re not together in the same place but CHILL”

I’m glad you kept A Walk to Remember! It’s actually the only Nicholas Sparks book I’ve read, but I loved it. The movie is so good too❤️

I didn’t realise A Walk To Remember was adapted from a novel. I’ve not read any of the books that you listed above, I think, although I’d probably give Dear John a try just to see what the girl is like.
