August 2018 Wrap Up

Hello lovelies! Another month has passed by and I’m so proud of how much reading I got done this month. I managed to read 8 books. It makes me think that despite being way behind on my Goodreads goal of 50 books for a lot of the year that I might actually be able to complete it. Wish me luck!

I was also a part of some awesome blog tours this past month. If you’re interested in reading any of those reviews, take a look at the links down below.

Kind of been reading this for a while only because I’ve had to temporarily put it down because I’ve so many books to read for reviews for blog tours. But I absolutely will be picking this up again soon because I love it so much so far.

Ten Reasons to Stay by Candace Knoebel
This book is amazing. As soon as I finish this writing this post I’ll be back to reading it. There’s something about her writing that had me head over heels for it after the first couple of chapters. My date for the blog tour is September 5 so stay tuned to see all the most likely very lovely things I’ll have to say about this one.

The Chase by Elle Kennedy
Holy crap I love this book so far. I can’t wait to have a bit more time and dive back in because it is incredible.

July 2018 Wrap Up

Hello lovelies! Another month is over and this time it wasn’t too bad for reading in terms of quantity. I managed to get through six books including one that was 650 pages (and a slight struggle) and another that I flew through in one day while I was sick yesterday.

In terms of content, it wasn’t the best. I discovered my favourite book of the year and got to enjoy another R.S. Grey book, but the rest mostly fell pretty flat for me. Some just really weren’t my style.

I hope you all had a wonderful month! Let me know in the comments down below how your July went.

Arrogant Devil by R.S. Grey
I know I say this every single time I mention R.S. Grey, but every single book of hers is amazing and this one is no exception.

Emergency Contact by Mary H.K. Choi
Not to be dramatic, but this book was everything. I loved it to the moon and back and you should all read it asap.

Everything Under the Sun by Jessica Redmerski
I was lucky enough to participate in a blog tour hosted by InkSlinger PR but I only kind of liked this book?

Wasted Words by Staci Hart
Meh. I was kind of iffy with this one. The romance was cute I guess? It felt so unrealistic that it took a year for something to happen when they were living together the whole time.

Dry Spell by Mia London & Susan Sheehey
Still not entirely sure what to say as a review yet. I’m not a huge fan of insta-love at all and I feel like this was it on a whole other level.

Mixed Up Love by Natasha Madison
I read this in an entire day yesterday. It definitely had insta-love but it wasn’t as emotional? It was still filled with a fair amount of tension and I was a fan of this one.

The Heart of Betrayal by Mary E. Pearson
I started this last month, but really haven’t gotten far at all so I don’t have much to say about it yet. I’m hoping I’ll enjoy it as much as I did the first one.

Fighting Gravity by Julie Adams
Just started this one on my lunch break today for an upcoming blog tour that I’m a part of in August. So far the writing is good, but I’m not far enough in it to know the story and have much of an opinion.

When We Collided by Emery Lord
Haven’t started this one yet, but it’s a pretty slow day at the office, so I’m sure I will before the end of the day.

June Wrap Up

Hello lovelies! I can’t believe how quickly this year is flying by. How is it already the end of June? It needs to slow down so I can catch up on my Goodreads goal because oh crap, I’m just a tad behind.

This month wasn’t my best reading month as I only read 3 books, but I have a lot of optimism heading into July. I’ve been in a constant reading mood in the last week so hopefully I can keep that up.

I hope you all had a wonderful month! Let me know in the comments down below how your June went.

The Foxe & The Hound by R.S. Grey
Another R.S. Grey book that she’s knocked out of the park. At this point I’m convinced there is no book she can write that I will dislike. They’re all so funny and the sexual tension is perfect.

Touch of Power by Maria V. Snyder
I’m kind of on the fence about this one. I feel like the pacing was a little all over the place and the romance was quite blah.

One Dark Throne by Kendare Blake
I finished this earlier this afternoon and OH MY. OH MY. OH MY. First of all, Kendare Blake just straight up ripped my heart out of my chest at the end and second of all, can we fast forward to September so I can start reading Two Dark Reigns immediately?

I have around 100 pages left of this one and I have a feeling I’m going to tear through it tonight. I feel like the slow burn romance isn’t as strong in this one, but it’s still funny as hell so I’m all for it.

Private by Kate Brian
Just felt like picking this up for the first time in almost 10 years. Let me tell you, it is much different reading this as a 24 year old than it was when I was 15.
