Down the TBR Hole is a meme hosted by Lost in a Story that revolves around clearing your TBR of all those books you’re never going to read and sort through it all to know what’s actually on there.
I’m still at the beginning of my TBR so these are books I added when I was around 18 and oh my lord, my reading tastes have clearly changed a lot since then.
Here’s how it works:
– Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
– Order on ascending date added.
– Take the first 5 (or 10 (or even more!) if you’re feeling adventurous) books. Of course, if you do this weekly, you start where you left off the last time.
– Read the synopses of the books
– Decide: keep it or should it go?
Something Borrowed by Emily Giffin
This has been one of my favourite movies for the longest time so this is absolutely staying on my TBR. I’ve owned it forever too. Have to get to it one day, right? Verdict: staying on the list
Love the One You’re With by Emily Giffin
Baby Proof by Emily Giffin
Heart of the Matter by Emily Giffin
Where We Belongby Emily Giffin
They all sound fine. I’m sure they’d be decent 3.5 star reads, but considering how many books are on my TBR, there are so many others that I would prefer to read over these books. They just seem very average to me. Verdict: leaving the list
Staying on the list: 1
Leaving the list: 4
Are there any books you think I should have given a chance to? Any you think I should be ditching? Let me know what you think down in the comments below!
This post has really inspired me to hop over to my GoodReads and sort out my TBR! Great idea, and it’s really interesting to see how tastes change over time (even a few months!)
