Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature over at That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s theme is our top ten auto-buy authors. There are so many authors out there whose books I wholeheartedly enjoy. But there are some who even hint at a new book coming out and I’m line “LINK ME, I’M BUYING THAT RIGHT NOW.” There’s even a few out there who could write a kitchen appliance manual and I’d still drop money on it because I trust their writing that much. I’m pretty sure I put the trust I should have in people in my everyday life into authors because really, who is going to bring me as much joy as an R.S. Grey rom-com?

Enough rambling though. Enjoy the list of authors who have earned the right to my money for pretty much every book they’ll ever release.

Also, I know this is a top TEN tuesday, but there’s really only five authors who I will buy anything and everything for. There’s others who I love enough that there’s a high probability I’ll purchase what they write, but I’d need to see a synopsis first. These are the ultimate. The king and queens of my credit card and literary life.

1. R.S. Grey
Queen of romantic comedy. I’ve read ten of her books (possibly more) and I’ve loved every single one. She has earned her spot on this list and then some.

2. V.E. Schwab
Vicious. That’s all I have to say. That book changed my life and she can rob my bank account for all I care for giving me my favourite novel of all time.

3. Sarah J. Maas
She literally has taken all of my money. I own all of her books except for two IN HARDCOVER and I don’t buy hardcovers 99% of the time. I’m a cheap bitch who has no problem waiting a year for a paperback. But for SJM? I need her books and I need them now.

4. Renée Ahdieh
The Wrath & the Dawn duology owns my heart forever. And while I haven’t completed her other books yet, I have faith that I’ll love them too.

5. Brandon Sanderson
Look. I know I only started reading The Final Empire this week. But it’s love at first sentence. And I have never heard a single bad thing about his books. I’ve even suggested him to fantasy lovers in my life for the past few years and I’ve been thanked for it. So everything points in the right direction for Sanderson. I trust him completely.
