Hello lovelies! Another month is over and this time it wasn’t too bad for reading in terms of quantity. I managed to get through six books including one that was 650 pages (and a slight struggle) and another that I flew through in one day while I was sick yesterday.
In terms of content, it wasn’t the best. I discovered my favourite book of the year and got to enjoy another R.S. Grey book, but the rest mostly fell pretty flat for me. Some just really weren’t my style.
I hope you all had a wonderful month! Let me know in the comments down below how your July went.
Books Read
Arrogant Devil by R.S. Grey
I know I say this every single time I mention R.S. Grey, but every single book of hers is amazing and this one is no exception.
Emergency Contact by Mary H.K. Choi
Not to be dramatic, but this book was everything. I loved it to the moon and back and you should all read it asap.
Everything Under the Sun by Jessica Redmerski
I was lucky enough to participate in a blog tour hosted by InkSlinger PR but I only kind of liked this book?
Wasted Words by Staci Hart
Meh. I was kind of iffy with this one. The romance was cute I guess? It felt so unrealistic that it took a year for something to happen when they were living together the whole time.
Dry Spell by Mia London & Susan Sheehey
Still not entirely sure what to say as a review yet. I’m not a huge fan of insta-love at all and I feel like this was it on a whole other level.
Mixed Up Love by Natasha Madison
I read this in an entire day yesterday. It definitely had insta-love but it wasn’t as emotional? It was still filled with a fair amount of tension and I was a fan of this one.

Currently Reading
The Heart of Betrayal by Mary E. Pearson
I started this last month, but really haven’t gotten far at all so I don’t have much to say about it yet. I’m hoping I’ll enjoy it as much as I did the first one.
Fighting Gravity by Julie Adams
Just started this one on my lunch break today for an upcoming blog tour that I’m a part of in August. So far the writing is good, but I’m not far enough in it to know the story and have much of an opinion.
When We Collided by Emery Lord
Haven’t started this one yet, but it’s a pretty slow day at the office, so I’m sure I will before the end of the day.
I’m going to be starting The Heart of Betrayal really soon! Hoping to get through the trilogy before a signing with Mary Pearson for Dance of Thieves. I really want to read Emergency Contact as well, I keep hearing really good things.

Sounds like my kind of contemporary! I struggle with them sometimes, but I think I might like this one.

Totally jealous of her ability to write laugh-out-loud rom-coms. Loved every book of hers I’ve read so far ❤️
