Hi everyone! Can you believe we’re already half way through the year? Maybe it’s because of how hectic and busy life was, but it honestly seems like the first six months of the year have flown by so quickly! Making this list was pretty much impossible. There are so many books coming out in these last six months that sound amazing. Us book nerds have clearly been blessed.
Here’s my list, sorted by release date, of my most anticipated releases for the second half of 2018. Except Vengeful. That’s my number one pick without a doubt. I’ll be there at Indigo on September 25 making sure I get it the moment it comes out. If any of these are on your list or if you’ve read some already, let me know down in the comments below! I’d love to hear your thoughts.
1. Like Never and Always by Ann Aguirre | July 17, 2018
2. Grace and Fury by Tracy Banghart | July 31, 2018
3. Sea Witch by Sarah Henning | July 31, 2018
4. Catwoman: Soulstealer by Sarah J. Maas | August 7, 2018
5. These Rebel Waves by Sara Raasch | August 7, 2018
6. Not So Nice Guy by R.S. Grey | August 9, 2018
7. Two Dark Reigns by Kendare Blake | September 4, 2018
8. Vengeful by V.E. Schwab | September 25, 2018
9. The Lady’s Guide to Petticoats and Piracy by Mackenzi Lee | October 2, 2018
10. Kingdom of Ash by Sarah J. Maas | October 23, 2018
Like Never and Always was so goood! Feel free to check my blog for a review (not promo-ing, just literally trying to lead you to my gushing about a new fave). Thought maybe I spoiler-ed I can’t remember. Either way, I loooved that book and finished it all in one night. The romance was great, the plot was super intriguing… definitely a TBR to keep an eye on! Also … are you Canadian? O: Could it be, another Canadian blogger?

I’ve read your review and a few others as well and it definitely just makes me want to pick it up even more!
Yes I’m Canadian as well!! 😀

Yaaaas, Canadian representation in the blogging world! I had suspicions when I saw your mention of Indigo, since it’s Canada only. I love shopping there for my books (not that I have many other big bookstore options).

It’s literally the only one, especially being in Quebec most of the big bookstores here are the French one

Whhaaaatt? You’re from Quebec as well? Ahahaa samee. So we can share the big french bookstore struggle too. Indigo is literally my haven in a sea of bookstores that save one tiny shelf for English books 😥

Right?! It feels like there’s a Renaud Bray on every corner in the city, but only one Indigo downtown #thestruggle

I won’t lie, Renaud Bray has nice pens and notebooks and random objects. I like browsing there for anything *but* books. But yeah, only one Indigo! It’s so sad 😦 At least their online section is decent, and everything online for them is always cheaper? So if you like browsing, you’re limited, but you can at least find it online. (Don’t get me started on libraries though. Most have terrible English sections.)

Oh my god yes! They have such a good stationary section. Yeah I spend way too much time browsing the online stuff at Indigo. Even in store. Went this weekend and if I wasn’t with someone I so would have been there until closing lol
Yes! Everyone on twitter brags about their amazing libraries and ours have an English section with like 6 books

I’ve collected way too many cute and quirky pens/erasers from shopping at Indigo and Renaud-Bray. Thankfully (I guess?) I also *lose* pens/erasers at a crazy speed so it balances out and I get to go browsing again. I try to save Indigo for last when I’m shopping, otherwise I would get nothing else done haha. That, and I would spend all my money on books and have nothing left for the rest of the day lol
Ugghh yes! It’s basically buy the book you want or cross your fingers in the hopes your library eventually gets a copy. My library literally has more dictionaries than English books.

Totally know the feeling! I get way too many cute mini notebooks but I Have no reason to use 95% of them. Lol same. Every time I go in there I try and pretend like I have self control and won’t spend a lot but that’s never true

The only way to use them at this point is to put around your room as decoration lol. There are worse bad habits to have, so I forgive us!

I’m so happy to have met another Quebec bookworm! 🙂 Everyone from Canada is basically from somewhere in Ontario

Probably because those who *are* from Quebec read French lit. Which no matter how much my French teachers tried, I could never really get into, haha.
