Set in a dark, rainy northern town, Nesbo’s Macbeth pits the ambitions of a corrupt policeman against loyal colleagues, a drug-depraved underworld and the pull of childhood friendships.
Get ready to helter-skelter through the darkest tunnels of human experience.
In high school, we read Macbeth, and it was one of the best plays I’ve ever read. I absolutely adore Shakespeare’s darker plays and when I saw on Crime by the Book’s instagram (check it out here, it is hands down on the most amazing bookstagram accounts out there) that there was going to be a crime version of Macbeth, I knew I needed to get my hands on it.
The synopsis doesn’t say too much, but I think it’s better that way. It sounds dark in the best way and I’m looking forward to reading this. I’ve made it one of my goals to get more into crime novels this year, and this looks like the perfect one to pick up.
Are you guys looking forward to Macbeth as much as I am? Have you had a chance to read it early? Let me know down in the comments below!
